IGA Charity Auction

What started as a drunken “no, I want it more” between two slightly intoxicated gamers in a pub many (many) moons ago has become, for me at least, one of the highlights of the gaming year. The IGA Charity Auction at Gaelcon has grown and grown since that first fateful argument over a shiny object, and has become something that has a real impact on the lives of many people.

Who we donate to?

How to donate to the IGA?

So how does one go about donating to the IGA charity fund, or help fundraise for it? Is there certain criteria, or certain type of charity that the IGA donates to? In years, past the IGA has always tried to donate games to needy Irish Children's Charities, however due to the generosity of the punters of Gaelcon throughout the years, we've been able to make more substantial donations, such as weekends away and camps for sick children and for very important equipment for others. But we still like to give games were possible like to DEBRA Ireland. If you know of any Irish Children's Charity, please get in contact with us, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Bring & Buy Stand

The Charity Bring & Buy Stand will be in place again for Gaelcon 2011. Drew and Nina and whoever they badger into being a lovely assistant will be happy to take your unwanted gaming gear (except for D&D 3.0 and 3.5 stuff, which we can't even give away - sorry!) and to sell it to unsuspecting passers by. You get to nominate a percentage to go to the Gaelcon Charity fund - 20% minimum, and we love the people who give the whole price to charity more - and you get to pocket whatever's left on Monday evening.

And of course, if you're looking for out of print games (we've a wedge of old World of Darkness stuff, at the very least), or items that have acquired some character, you know where to come looking. We promise reasonable prices, and we'll discount heavily for people buying in bulk!

For your currently-in-print needs, we encourage you to talk to our commercially trading colleagues at other stands, who do this for a living.

If you wish to enter something to the Bring & Buy stand, you can contact Drew and Nina here with your lots!
