Directions
Gaelcon has a new home, just outside Dublin City Centre. This year we will be in the Conference Centre of the D4hotels Ballsbridge Inn on Pembroke Road. Find out how to get to the convention, via bus, train or foot!
Dublin City Centre has a range of vibrant hostels which can offer such facilities as laundry, left luggage and Wi-Fi to those staying in them. Prices can range from €10 a night in large dorms, to €30 for private rooms. Please see below for details.
There is an ATM on site in the D4hotel Ballsbridge Inn and there is an Bank of Ireland on Pembroke Road. There are also many A.T.M.s in the Grafton Street / St. Stephens Green Shopping area.
Staff are an integral part of Gaelcon as without them the convention cannot run.
We’re always looking for responsible and courteous individuals to participate. We have many volunteer positions to fill and responsibilities may vary but for most, you'll have to be willing to deal with crowds, answer attendees' questions and just plain work hard during your shift.
Due to the later hours we will be running a rota to cover the slots and breaks, which means you should be able to have as much fun as any attendee.
