We're trying something new for the Gaelcon 2010 pub quiz. Over the past few years, you'll probably have noticed a large number of pub quizzes being won at Irish gaming conventions by a team calling themselves Table 5. Frankly, we're as sick of them as everyone else is. So we've come up with a sure-fire way to make sure they won't win the quiz this year.

They'll be running it.

Gaelcon 2010 presents "The Villainous Table 5 Pub Quiz" - written and run by the founding members of Table 5. This shadowy organisation first appeared in 2004, at Icon IX. This was the last time Icon ever ran. Rumours abound that the eruption of darkness and evil caused by the birth of Table 5 was the reason this Waterford convention never reached its tenth year. Since then its membership has swelled with every new Con. These days you can never be sure if your friends are loved ones are not actually secret operatives of... Table 5.

We are the only Pub Quiz running at an Irish gaming Con in 2010 that can guarantee Table 5 won't win it. Because this foul syndicate is coming out of the shadows, and onto the stage.

We advise you bring things to throw. Apparently a full head of cabbage leaves a nasty mark...
