The intense heat forced Zděnek Juránek into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come in the 59:th minute, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but Zenone Omoretto got the best of it, blocking the shot from Lars Andersen. Giocchi27's Zděnek Juránek saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates in the 83:th minute. A great save by keeper Domenico Senno in the 84:th minute kept the visitors in the game after Rolf Werner struck from the left with a real cannonball.
